Lessons That I Thought Would Be Useful To Me, But Ultimately Weren’t
I read a lot of self-help articles on Medium, some pieces of advice have helped but there is a lot of fluff
I read a lot of things over the course of my time on Medium from way back when. However, very few of it has been deemed useful to me. I have a whole list of things that I want to read and the daily Medium Digest stacks in my email inbox. While I’m going through that list right now, I still try to find pieces that will ultimately lead me to do better.
Overall the message I get on how to succeed on Medium is to:
- Consistently post on Medium.
- Be an avid reader.
- Write when you’re even not inspired. (This is useful advice tbh).
- Have an eye-catching title and have substance in your article. (Obviously imo).
- Write for your audience, not for you.
This is essentially the gist of what I’ve gathered. Granted the Medium feed is compiled of articles I check and figures out that’s what I want to read more of. Which there is nothing wrong with that either.
